Marlin Jackson: Eagles FS Ruptures Achilles and Is Out For 2010

It appears there won't be a third Jackson wearing green and starting this year for the Eagles.
After signing him with the team just a couple months ago, new Eagles safety Marlin Jackson, ruptured his Achilles tendon in practice on Tuesday.
Jackson will miss the rest of the regular season.
The Philadelphia Eagles defensive coaching staff will be looking to fit someone else into the void that the injury opens up.
The Eagles defensive coaching staff will also be looking to figure out a way to work in newer players, as the injury to Jackson leaves a hole at cornerback, a spot where Jackson was suppose to step into in certain situations.
The Eagles had a chance to address the issue at cornerback during the 2010 NFL Draft but elected not to, instead focusing on the defensive core.
The former Indianapolis Colt has had a history of leg injuries, including two season ending knee-surgery procedures during the past two seasons, on both knees.
