Matt Leinart: Is He a Good Fit for the San Francisco 49ers?

Once upon a time ago there was a lot of talk about a young QB named Matt Leinart—not so much anymore. Leinart spent most this season on the bench for the Arizona Cardinals. Should a player with so much potential be riding the bench or should he make his way to San Fran as the starting QB?
The lefty slinger has proven that he can get the job done, it's just that he has not been consistent about it. Should the Niners try and trade for a QB or try to pick one up in the upcoming draft? With the loss of QB Alex Smith the Niners have put themselves in a real bind.
With so many teams in need of a good QB before the start of next season, there will be slim pickens. If the 49ers are ever gong to make progress, they will have to pick up someone better than Alex Smith.
There are rumors of Kevin Kolb leaving the Eagles, which would probably be the best choice. But with so many teams wanting him it will be difficult to reel him in.
