Mel Kiper 2011 NFL Mock Draft Somehow Has the Ravens Landing Smith at No. 26
As always, the Baltimore Ravens were just fine on defense in 2010. They allowed just 16.9 points and 318.9 yards per game, and once again found themselves in the playoffs.
However, the stats are a little misleading. There were times when Baltimore's vaunted defense looked a little gassed at the end of games, and they were particularly susceptible against the pass.
Therefore, the Ravens are in the market for some fresh legs in the secondary as we speed towards the 2011 NFL Draft, and they should have options. For instance, Mel Kiper has them taking Colorado cornerback Jimmy Smith with the No. 26 pick in his most recent 2011 NFL Mock Draft (must have ESPN Insider), and that would definitely be a great pick.
