Mel Kiper Jr. Announces Plans For His Retirement On ESPN Live

On the April 19th, draft analyst Mel Kiper Jr. announced plans for his eventual retirement on ESPN's NFL Live broadcast. His announcement shocked the Pro Football world.
While sparring with fellow draft analyst Todd McShay, Kiper made the following declaration: "If Jimmy Clausen is not a successful quarterback in the NFL, I'm done. That's it. I'm out."
McShay asked the following question: "What is your time frame, Mel? When do we make that assessment?"
Kiper answered "I want eight years."
McShay countered, "It will only take three years, Mel. We can tell inside three years."
Kiper replied, "I want eight."
The video was rebroadcast on today's episode of NFL Live!  
This rebroadcast signified that the bet is down on the table, SOLID! We have the evidence on videotape.  
We can only surmise that Mel Kiper is planning to retire sometime in 2018.
