Melvin Gordon’s Mom Will Not Wear His Chargers Jersey Until He Proves Himself

While many Melvin Gordon fans will be wearing No. 28 San Diego Chargers jerseys this coming season, don't expect to see his mother, Carmen Gordon, wearing one in the stands on game days just yet.
He has to prove himself in the NFL before she will do so. 
In a story published Monday, Carmen told ESPN's Eric D. Williams that she won't wear his jersey until he earns the honor, just like she did when her son played for the Wisconsin Badgers.
“You’ve got to show me a little something, but it won’t be this year,” Carmen told Williams. “So you might see me in the stands, but I won’t have the jersey on. I did the same thing in college because I just want to hear what people are saying.”
Carmen revealed she did not wear her son's No. 25 jersey at Wisconsin until his senior season. 
That stance doesn't mean that she doesn't believe in her son, however. She has faith in him and expects big things out of the running ...
