Miami Dolphins: Should the Fins Trade Cornerback Vontae Davis?

Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay has been quite the prolific tweeter.
His Twitter account (@JimIrsay) has been saying some interesting things as of late to his loyal followers and Colts fans.
He broke the news of an impending trade for a “serious vet/starter” over Twitter, which caused a frenzy in the media.
Sitting at the center of this frenzy is Dolphins cornerback Vontae Davis.
The question that remains for the Dolphins organization is should they bite the bullet and trade Davis for future draft picks? Or do they stick with him to lead the secondary?
While Miami’s secondary has been downright atrocious throughout the preseason, Davis clearly stands as the best corner.
The fourth-year man and former first-round draft pick out of Illinois has had his ups and downs in his short NFL career.
