Miami Signs Karlos Dansby As The AFC East Gets Tougher Yet Again

After flying down to Miami today, to meet with team officials at the teams' facility Karlos Dansby has now signed a 5 years, $43 million contract with the AFC East team.  The deal includes $22 million guaranteed, and makes Dansby one of the highest paid linebackers in the league.
This move instantly solidifies a linebacking group in Miami that already includes Channing Crowder, and may yet see Jason Taylor and/or Joey Porter return.  It's interesting that many projected Dansby to the Giants in New York, but he never made any reported contact with the team, as Miami proves that the early bird gets the worm and is not only his first visit, but his ultimate destination.
Dansby recorded 108 tackles last year and is a very active linebacker.  He only had one sack in the regular season, but he has 25.5 on his career and made one important one that most people remember, the game winning sack of Aaron Rodgers in the Cardinal's playoff game against Green Bay a few short months ago....
