Michael Vick Will Excite, but Don’t Let Him Entice You into Thinking He’s No. 1

Michael Vick is going to blind us with his speed and his huge playmaking skills and make us think he is back. Well, guess what—he isn’t the man for the job.
He will start against a terrible Detroit Lions team, and he will look like his old self. He will dazzle us with his winding runs and speed.
That will happen, but it doesn’t mean he should take over as the starter for the Philadelphia Eagles. Kevin Kolb looked terrible last week and then got the concussion, but he is still the man for them.
It is a known fact that any football fan loves a fast quarterback that makes insane runs. It is pretty and quite frankly very exciting to watch.
However, a good quarterback it does not make.
Even at the age of 30, Vick will probably be one of the best, if not the best athlete on the field. As an athlete he is all-world and always will be. As a quarterback he is average even on his best day.
