Minnesota Vikings/New Orleans Saints Opener an Absolute Bore

There was a Super Bowl-like anticipation leading up to last night's game between the Vikings and Saints. Personally, I have had trouble containing my excitement for the last two weeks. As kickoff approached, I was like a giddy schoolgirl fidgeting in my seat.
The opening drive took all of two minutes and four seconds, confirming my suspicion. The Super Bowl game was a 31-28 win for the Saints, and this game was going to have all the scoring and thrills that it had been built up to have. And then something happened.
Nothing.

According to ESPN.com, there was never a play totaling over 33 yards. There was only one turnover and only one touchdown scored in the second half. I began yelling at the T.V. wondering where all the points were.

Brett Favre was off his game. Friday was filled with speculation as to why this was, but I know there is no need to worry. The Vikings may need to adjust their playing style with Adrian Peterson as an increased centerpiece...
