Missed Opportunities Make New York Giants Fans Blue in the Face

Without question, the New York Giants have had one of the most tumultuous and roller coaster offseasons Big Blue has ever seen.
Between coaching changes, Antonio Pierce's release, and Osi Umenyiora's retirement/trade talk, the Giant faithful have bit the bullet in hopes of brighter days. Unfortunately, the 2010 draft was the final straw before the questions would start.
 
Round 1: Jason Pierre-Paul
Allow me to warn you before I sound off on the Giants first-round pick, I have watched as many USF games as I have Real Housewives episodes; that means zero in case you were wondering.
The knock against Pierre is not his talent, as I've learned from video footage and multiple reports; it’s his lack of need and rawness that strikes a cord.
Unless the New York Giants are holding their intentions for Osi Umenyiora close to the vest, drafting a defensive end in the first round was not only a Giant risk, but one that kept them from drafting for need.
