Having spent the last year-and-a-half getting rid of distracting players, McDaniels is filling the void with players who have dedicated themselves to avoiding trouble. McDaniels does not have to be a disciplinarian when he has high character guys in the locker room. It allows him to focus on all the other vital nuances that need to be instilled into his players if they are to one day be referred to as a dynasty. We’ve seen a small dose of what kind of character guy Dallas got in Dez Bryant. He started camp by breaking the age old NFL tradition of rookie initiation. Veterans regard this as a form of respect and payment for all of the priceless knowledge they will give back to the rookies.
