N.Y. Giants’ Draft Pick Chad Jones In Critical Condition After Car Wreck (Video)

New York Giants' third round pick and former Louisiana State University standout Chad Jones was involved in a very serious car accident this morning. The accident happened early on New Orleans streets at 6:15 a.m., according to city officials.

Jones has suffered a fractured left leg and had arteries and nerves exposed, indicating he was probably traveling at a high rate of speed. Although no reports of a speed limit in the area have been reported, NOPD public information officer Shereese Harper stated Jones would be charged with careless operation of a vehicle.
At 10:15 a.m., Chad was listed in critical condition and entered surgery at the local hospital, doctors are currently attempting to get blood flowing back to Jones' foot.
Toxicology reports will not be shared for quite some time, as right now it's purely a medical issue and not a legal one.
