Ndamukong Suh Agrees To Contract With Detroit Lions

August 4, 2010   ·     ·   Jump to comments

Ndamukong Suh agreed to terms with the Detroit Lions.
It may have come four days later than some expected, but the former Nebraska Cornhusker is now ready to participate in training camp.
The deal is reported to be a five-years worth $68 million—$40 million guaranteed.
Looking at the numbers makes one wonder why this deal was not done earlier.
The money involved is what the consensus expected Suh to sign for when compared to the contracts signed by Sam Bradford and Gerald McCoy.
The contract is also worth slightly less than the guaranteed money that 2009 first overall pick, Matthew Stafford signed for
Although missing four days of camp is not ideal, Coach Jim Schwartz has said that he does not believe it to be a big deal.
(On a side note, I will be at Lions' training camp tomorrow so if you would like me to look at something in particular please leave me a comment.  I will be checking them through out the day.)
