New England Patriots Offseason: Pats Likely to Cut Nick Kaczur

February 27, 2011   ·     ·   Jump to comments

According to a report recently done by the Boston Herald, the New England Patriots have requested offensive lineman Nick Kaczur to take a pay cut. According to the report, it's stated to be a "massive pay cut."
Kaczur is currently set to make $3.4 million this season, and it's reported that he will be unwilling to take such a pay cut.
Kaczur suffered a back injury last season during training camp, which caused the five-year pro to miss all of last season. He then later injured his shoulder.
There is no word as to how severe the injury is or if it had any effect on the pay cut decision.
Kaczur sits on New England's depth chart as a backup guard, and it isn't financially intelligent to pay a backup $3.4 million.
