New Orleans Saints Bye Week Comes at the Perfect Time for Banged-Up Backfield

After trouncing the Carolina Panthers 34-3 in Week 9, the New Orleans Saints roll into their bye week at 6-3, right in the mix in the NFC South.
Currently second in the division behind the 6-2 Atlanta Falcons and just ahead of the 5-3 Buccaneers, the Saints should emerge from the bye in Week 11 a much different team.
Perhaps they’ll even have running backs Reggie Bush and Pierre Thomas back.
Head coach Sean Payton said Thomas’ ankle is doing well and the he should "return to practice soon.” Bush will likely continue to be limited in practice, but has a good chance at returning to action in Week 11 as well.
The Saints look to win their third straight when they host the Seattle Seahawks in Week 11, and a healthy Thomas and Bush will certainly help that cause and allow them to keep pace with the Falcons in the division race.
Both Thomas and Bush’s statuses will be updated throughout the bye week.
