New Orleans Saints Place RB Chris Ivory On Injured Reserve, Sign DeShawn Wynn

New Orleans Saints rookie running back Chris Ivory has been placed on injured reserve with a foot injury suffered in the Week 17 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Ivory led the team with 716 rushing yards and five touchdowns filling in for the injured Pierre Thomas and Reggie Bush.
The Saints signed DeShawn Wynn Tuesday to replace Ivory.
Thomas is still out after re-injuring the same ankle that caused him to miss nine games earlier in the season. His status for Saturday’s playoff game is still uncertain.
If Thomas cannot go, Julius Jones will likely see most of the between-the-tackles carries.
Meanwhile, Bush showed explosiveness in Week 17 he had not shown since coming back from a broken fibula. He tallied 80 yards on just nine carries and caught five balls for 55 yards.
The Saints travel to Seattle for a first-round matchup with the Seahawks Saturday, January 8. Kickoff is set for 4:30 p.m. EST.
