New York Jets Clip Indianapolis Colts, 17-16: Next Stop, New England

The New York Jets kept the legendary Peyton Manning in check and off the field when it mattered in the second half. Gang Green scored 17 second-half points and controlled the clock with Nick Folk kicking a game-winning field goal to advance to the divisional round of the AFC playoffs, 17-16.
In what was a defensive struggle with the Jets dominating the line of scrimmage in crucial moments, Manning fell to 9-10 overall in the postseason and just 1-2 against the New York Jets.
In what appeared to be a chess match between Peyton Manning and Jets head coach Rex Ryan, the defense was able to contain the Colts in the red zone as Adam Vinatieri's 50-yard field goal seemed to ice another Manning comeback with about a minute to play.
It was not to be.
For on this day the New York Jets were led by their playmakers Braylon Edwards, Santonio Holmes and LaDainian Tomlinson as the defense stuffed the Colts time and time again on third-and-short.
