NFL Combine 2010 Results: What Jacoby Ford’s 40 Time Means For His Draft Stock

If there’s one thing you now can definitively say about Jacoby Ford now, it’s that he’s fast.
 
Ford posted a 4.28-second 40-yard dash speed, the second fastest since 2000 and the fastest by a wide receiver since Jerome Mathis in 2005.
 
Ford now has everyone’s attention moving forward as he also excelled in the pass-catching drills, meaning not only is he fast, he can actually catch the ball.
 
Ford now will be closely looked at by several teams, but the Cleveland Browns and Oakland Raiders will be taking extra note of his explosiveness and ability to catch the ball.
 
The Browns have been plagued by drops the past two seasons as Braylon Edwards, now with the New York Jets, put on a clinic on how to not play the wide receiver position.
 
Raider’s owner Al Davis always has been enamored with speedy wide receivers and most likely will take Ford’s 40 time back to his stasis chamber tonight and think on it while he gets a...
