NFL Draft 2011 Could See the Eagles Drafting Twice in the First Round if They Get the Right Offer for Kevin Kolb
Because of the collective bargaining situation, player acquisitions in the NFL are on hold for the time being. But apparently, that hasn't stopped executives around the league from at least making a few calls.
If there was nothing going on with the CBA right now, the one player who would probably be drawing more interest than any other is Philadelphia Eagles backup quarterback Kevin Kolb, who has been expendable ever since it became apparent that Michael Vick is a star after all.
According to Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Eagles have already received an offer for Kolb from one team that is willing to give up a first round pick for his services. Eagles president Joe Banner did not confirm this, but he did say that there is a "more aggressive market" for Kolb than there was for Donovan McNabb last year.
