NFL Draft 2011: Could the Detroit Lions Draft KSU Running Back Daniel Thomas?

The Lions could have their eye on a running back in the third round of the NFL Draft.
While it may not be their top draft need, speculation has been flying around Detroit that the Lions may be looking into taking a running back in this April's draft.
ESPN.com's Todd McShay has the Lions selecting Kansas State running back Daniel Thomas with the 75th pick (third round) in his latest NFL Mock Draft.
McShay says this of Thomas:
"A big back. Can flash some power when momentum is behind him. Churns legs at end of runs and generally falls forward. Displays good body control through cuts and rarely loses balance. However, he's much more finesse than he is power. Runs a bit high and needs to be more consistent lowering his shoulder to initialize contact. Doesn't run with as wide of a base as his size would indicate. Legs get taken out too easily at times."
