NFL Draft 2011 Could Mike Tannenbaum Trade Up Ala 2009?
The New York Jets went for it all in the 2009 draft. They essentially gambled the entire franchise when they traded up for Mark Sanchez. The gamble paid off in a huge way—Sanchez is one of the brightest young quarterbacks and has led the team to two-straight AFC Championship appearances.
As we look ahead to the draft and the Jets’ main needs, they are not far off from once again journeying to a third-straight AFC Championship. The Jets are targeting players who can improve their pass rush, which could ultimately put them into the Super Bowl.
