NFL Draft 2011: Bowers Could Make Titans Fans Forget About Albert Haynesworth
Over the last three weeks, Da'Quan Bowers has gone from potential first overall pick to perhaps falling out of of the top five entirely. After not working out at the combine due to lingering knee issues, Bowers' stock has begun to slightly slip after teams are questioning his inability to quickly recover.
The definition of a value pick, Bowers provides too much talent to pass up at this juncture in the draft. Although the team targeted the defensive line in the first round of last season's draft with DE Derrick Morgan, Bowers is a superior prospect to Morgan and has the ability to contribute right away on a defensive line that still needs help with the pass-rush, which is his greatest asset.
Bowers is labeled as the "most gifted pass-rusher in this season's draft" by ESPN, and it's likely that most NFL teams have a similar view. He was an absolute monster last season for Clemson, and at 6'3 and...
