NFL Draft 2011: Latest Draft News and Projections For All 16 AFC Teams

The AFC is supposed to be the power conference.
The Steelers, the Patriots, the Colts and the Chargers were supposed to be the power house teams that dominate the NFC for the next decade.
Someone forgot to tell the NFC that.
With a crop of young quarterbacks coming up: Matt Ryan, Sam Bradford, Matthew Stafford and of course Aaron Rodgers, there is no fear in the NFC.
It’s time for the AFC teams to right the ship while they still have time. Most of the elite teams in the conference are just a player or two away from being the team they want to be—the team that can stand atop the NFL.
But before trophies can be grabbed and parades can be thrown, you have to better and you get better at the draft.
So here’s a look at each AFC team, what they need and where they are headed with their first round pick and how much their round one prizes will help them down the road.
