The 2011 NFL Draft is set up to be a bittersweet affair.
On the one hand, the draft is always good for a few days of wholesome family fun. And for those of us who make it our business to speculate about which players might go where on Draft Day, all our hard work and hard thinking will finally come to an end.
On the other hand, this year's draft will likely be the only bit of good news we get from the NFL in the coming months.
As you probably know, the league and its players are not exactly making progress in reaching a new collective bargaining agreement, and there's a very good chance this year's class of incoming rookies won't even get to play a full NFL season.
Nevertheless, the show must go on as far as the draft is concerned, and teams across the league continue to weigh their options about who they should pick. Obviously, it's a rather drawn-out process.
