NFL Draft 2011 Presents Saints with a Chance to Bolster Front Seven
For many people, I imagine, the lasting memory of the New Orleans Saints defense is of Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch making them feel the wrath of his notorious "Beast Mode" in the first round of the NFC playoffs.
If this is indeed true, then you don't need me to tell you that the Saints are sorely in need of help on their defensive front seven. The good news is that they apparently realize this too, and that they are actively scouting players they think they can get with the No. 24 pick in the draft.
According to Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post, one player the Saints have their eyes on is Baylor defensive tackle Phil Taylor. They've scheduled a private visit with Taylor, who also plans to visit seven other teams.
