NFL Draft 2011: What Would It Be Like Without the Draft?

The NFLPA has recently urged the class to boycott the draft. The whole presentation of the draft will change.

When something as vital as the players is taken away from the draft, it makes you wonder what the world would be like without the draft all together. No more Jets fans booing every pick, no more emotional player reactions and no more over analyzed Mel Kiper Jr. interviews.

What would the NFL be without the draft?


Pros

1) No More Draft Coverage for Months in Advance

I, apparently, am the minority on this one. But I cannot stand hearing about each draft prospect from February until the draft finally comes in April.
By the time the draft rolls around, I am so tired of hearing about it that I don’t even want to watch it.

2) No More Draft “Experts”

What qualifies Mel Kiper Jr. and Todd McShay as draft experts? All they do it relay information that is told to them by NFL scouts and front office personnel...
