NFL Draft 2011 will see the Charges address glaring defensive end needs
The San Diego Chargers are far from a perfect team. For the first time in as long as anyone could remember the Charges found themselves out of the playoff picture last year.
The bad news for San Diego is that the Raiders, Chiefs and Broncos are all showing signs of hope in what used to be a hopeless division.
The good news is that the Chargers still have the best piece to the puzzle in Philip Rivers.
But this draft is about more than just his needs(which there are some) but it’s about addressing their defensive needs.
It begins and ends with a defensive end. The good news again for the Chargers is that this is a class that is deep with ends and end/linebacker hybrids so their should be someone at 18. The question is who will be there.
Evan Silva from Profootballtalk.com believes that the best bet for the Chargers is to see J.J Watt fall to 18. If so he could be the guy.
