NFL Free Agent Rumors: Where Will Mario Williams Land?

Houston Texans outside linebacker/defensive end Mario Williams appears set to hit free agency next Tuesday, as the team has yet to engage him in contract talks. The Texans also won't use the franchise tag on Williams, since it would carry a ridiculous price of $22.9 million. 
The two-time Pro Bowler is certain to be one of the most sought-after players on the NFL's open market this offseason. The Dallas Cowboys and New England Patriots have both been mentioned as potential suitors for his services, while speculation has also placed the Buffalo Bills in contention for the N.C. State product.
The Patriots seem like a logical fit, seeing as how Williams is a versatile pass rusher who could play on the outside of head coach Bill Belichick's 4-3/3-4 hybrid scheme. New England needs a few difference-makers on the defensive side of the ball, as the team had one of the NFL's worst defenses throughout the 2011 season.
