NFL Playoffs 2011: Can the Jets Continue Their Impressive Run?
Going into their matchup with the New England Patriots in the divisional round, the New York Jets were not given much of a chance, especially after their 45-3 loss in Foxborough in Week 15.
But after a 28-21 shocker, the Jets are no longer considered an underdog but a team on the rise.
The Jets appeared to follow their blueprint late in the Colts game going into their matchup against the Patriots: run the ball and limit QB Mark Sanchez' throws.
Sanchez threw the ball 25 times against the Pats. Running backs LaDainian Tomlinson and Shonn Greene ran the ball a combined 27 times.
It appears the Jets' strength is what it was touted to be all along, a physical running game and a top-notch defense.
Somewhere along the regular season, the Jets forgot about that. They appear to be back in top form now.
The Jets have a chance to pull this one off.
