 NFL Playoffs 2011:  Is Matt Cassel Ready for the Moment? Matt Cassel has always dreamed of this moment. Even through a dismal college career where he didn’t get to play, and for years as a backup to Tom Brady, Matt Cassel had to have been thinking of this moment where he leads his team in the playoffs. The questions is: is he ready for the moment?
Cassel remains the only AFC quarterback without any playoff experience. Every other quarterback in the AFC has been to the conference championship, and three of them have Super Bowl rings. Cassel wants to be in that class to, but every step of the way he must face someone who has done it before. It’s a tall task to ask anyone, especially a guy doing it for the first time.
