NFL Playoffs 2011: Will Packers Defense Melt Down Again?

NFL Playoffs 2011: Will Packers Defense Melt Down Again? It was this time last year that the football world was talking about a much improved Packers defense. Their defensive coordinator Tom Capers had changed the scheme to a 3-4 in order to better accommodate their athletic personnel.
But the playoffs rolled around and the Packers much heralded defense got torched by a potent Arizona offense. This year they take on an equally potent Eagles offense. Can the Packers be as good as they are supposed to be? The truth is no one can be sure of anything come playoff time, but the Packers have improved where it matters the most: their Red Zone defense. They are allowing the second fewest amounts of points in the league, and should be ready for whatever the Eagles throw at them, even if that’s Michael Vick.
