NFL Playoffs: Are the Seattle Seahawks Legitimate NFC Contenders

The Seattle Seahawks shocked the NFL world today by beating the defending Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints 41-36. 
The Seahawks win was quite impressive. They dominated the Saints defense, and got a huge boost from the running game.
Running back Marshawn Lynch had an amazing 67 yard touchdown run with 3:22 left in the fourth quarter, breaking tackles, and sealing the win for Seattle.
Many football fans and members of the media were ready to give the win to the Saints last week. Seattle is the first team to ever make the playoffs with a losing record, and were ten point underdogs despite playing at home.
Drew Brees and the Saints offense played awful at times, yet managed to score 36 points. If I told Saints fans their team would score 36 points today, they'd almost certainly think the Saints had won.
But the defense that was so instrumental in New Orleans' Super Bowl run last year was exposed mightily today.
