NFL Rumor Mill: Cleveland Browns’ Holmgren To Replace Mike Singletary In 2011?

As news of Mike Singletary's late season departure began spreading across the sports world, speculation officially began as to who would be his replacement when the 49ers take the field in 2011.
Mike Holmgren has been at the top of the list of potential candidates and many writers have found some strong connections linking the former Super Bowl XXXI champion coach and the Bay Area.
Holmgren was born in San Francisco in 1948 and also began his coaching career with the 49ers in 1986 as an assistant coach under Bill Walsh.
Holmgren had also been rumored to be heading back to San Francisco long before he took over as Cleveland's President prior to the 2010 season.
He had also been quoted in late 2008 that coaching the 49ers was his "dream job" for much of his adolescent and professional life.
