NFL Rumors: Cleveland Browns to Interview Dick Jauron for Defensive Coordinator

Now that the Browns have hired their newest head coach in Pat Shurmur, it is time for the organization to begin assembling a staff in which the team can build around.
Reports surfaced around the league on Friday that the Browns have requested permission to speak with Philadelphia Eagles defensive backs coach, Dick Jauron, about joining the team in 2011 as defensive coordinator.
Jauron is a man that has a long history in the NFL and could provide some much-needed veteran leadership for a staff that will be headed by a first-time head coach.
Throughout his career, Jauron served as the head coach for the Chicago Bears from 1999-2003, and also with the Bills from 2006-2009. Jauron also served as the defensive coordinator for the Jacksonville Jaguars in the late '90s as well as at the Detroit Lions in 2004-2005. His latest position with the Eagles came shortly after being relieved of his duties in Buffalo, where he led the Bills to an overall record of 24-33.
