NFL Rumors: Los Angeles Football Team Could Be Closer Than People Think

Los Angeles, one of the biggest markets in the country, has two basketball teams, a hockey team, a soccer team and a baseball team, all of which thrive economically.  Los Angeles is missing one key event in its town—a football team.
Why the NFL is giving places like Jacksonville a team and not Los Angeles is simply baffling.  Roger Goodell has been talking about playing more games overseas and even getting overseas teams—that is not going to happen.  No player and no owner is going to approve of that deal, sorry Roger.
However, one deal that is likely to get done is the addition of a football team in Los Angeles.  AEG, the company that owns the Staples Center, has already committed to a plan that would build a new stadium in Los Angeles (check out the stadium here).  The video that AEG produced to go along with the stadium really adds to the excitement and demand.
