NFL Rumors: Sources Say Jets Have No Drunk Love, May Drop Braylon Edwards

According to Yahoo's Brandon Funston Twitter profile, the New York Jets have released their head-case wide receiver , Braylon Edwards. So are the New York Jets actually trying to make a statement and be a serious Super Bowl contending team? 
If they are, releasing Edwards is a puzzling but yet in a way, good move. With a young quarterback in Mark Sanchez who is trying to mature with each game, the Jets do not need Edwards to come in and bring negativity and attract the wrong attention to their team. 
This off-season the Jets made a trade for suspended wide receiver Santonio Holmes but Holmes has learned his lesson and has also proved to be a valuable team asset and a reliable player in the clutch. Young running back Shonn Greene does not need a negative influence as well, so the Jets have Ladainian Tomlinson to keep the young kid's head straight.
