Week 16 in the NFL kicks off Thursday night when the hapless San Diego Chargers (4-10) travel to the Black Hole to take on the not-quite-ready-to-contend Oakland Raiders (6-8). This one will probably draw the attention of only diehard local fans, but the nationally compelling games start Saturday with an all-important NFC East battle.
Washington (7-7) can clinch the division with a win on the road against the Philadelphia Eagles (6-8). While Philly is at home, its most recent performance can't have left it feeling confident heading into the game with Washington.
The Arizona Cardinals came into the City of Brotherly Love on Sunday night and trounced the Eagles 40-17. The loss set up Saturday's elimination game. In Week 15, Washington continued its strong late-season play. A 35-25 victory at home over the Buffalo Bills was its second straight win.
