Nolan Carroll Contract: Latest News, Rumors on Negotiations with Eagles

Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Nolan Carroll has had a successful 2016 season, setting himself up nicely for a new contract as he heads into free agency this offseason.

Eagles, Carroll Talking Extension Thursday, Dec. 29 Per Mark Eckel of NJ Advance Media, the Eagles have had "preliminary talks" with Carroll about a contract extension. 
Carroll told Eckel he has "a new agent, so we'll see how it goes" with regard to his talks with the Eagles. He also noted he would like to return to Philadelphia but acknowledged the decision isn't all up to him. 
The 29-year-old is in his seventh NFL season and third with the Eagles. He was originally drafted by the Miami Dolphins in 2010, emerging as a starter in 2012, and had his best year in 2013 with three interceptions and 12 passes defensed.
