Oakland Raiders File Trademark for ‘Las Vegas Raiders’

The Oakland Raiders' potential move to Las Vegas gained additional steam Thursday, as the franchise filed three trademarks for "Las Vegas Raiders." 
According to ESPN.com's Darren Rovell, the Raiders are attempting to gain exclusive rights to the name for advertising and merchandising purposes on the heels of six previous filings attempting trademark the same name.
The Raiders have just one year remaining on their lease at the Oakland Alameda Coliseum. Arash Markazi of ESPN later shared images of a potential home for the Raiders in Las Vegas:
After owner Mark Davis fell short in his efforts to move the Raiders back to Los Angeles, he set his sights on Sin City.
