Clay Matthews and the Packers Sackers
Is it just me, or does it look like Clay Matthews is the new leading candidate to win defensive player of the year?
Clay leads the league with 6 sacks already, which would already be plentiful enough for an entire season. He has stopped two critical fourth downs already and it doesn't look like their is anything in this league that can stop him.
The Packers lead the league with 10 sacks already, something I had full confidence that they would be able to do. And Clay is undoubtedly the biggest reason for that.
At this current pace, the Packers would have a total of 80 sacks for the season, and Clay would have 48. Of course I'm not saying that's going to happen, it just speaks tremendous volumes at just how good the defense is becoming.
Rush Defense
I can't explain how the Packers are somehow losing in this category. The lead the league against the rush last season.
They have already allowed up to almost 300 rushing...
