Packers RB Eddie Lacy Appears to Have Slimmed Down After Coach Called Him Out

It looks like Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy got coach Mike McCarthy's message.
Slim down.
In his third year in the NFL, Lacy suffered a major drop-off in production, which ultimately led to his benching. Many pointed to his weight, which was listed at 234 pounds, as the source of his on-field failures.
McCarthy never fully addressed the situation until after the Packers' season was over. Per Tom Silverstein of the Journal Sentinel, the coach said back in January that his running back had "a lot of work to do" and that he "cannot play at the weight that he played at this year." 
There was no hidden message there. McCarthy made it clear to Lacy that he was in unacceptable shape. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport would later report that the team wanted the player to lose 30 pounds this offseason.
