Panthers’ Cam Newton Pays Tribute to College Career with Customized Gold Cleats

The 2015 Heisman Trophy was awarded Saturday night, and in honor of college awards season, Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton paid tribute to his outstanding career at Auburn with a pair of customized gold cleats Sunday.
Newton took the field for warmups before the Panthers' Week 14 game against the Atlanta Falcons wearing cleats that featured many of his college accolades, including the Heisman Trophy:
Newton, of course, was a star for the Auburn Tigers during the 2010-11 campaign. He won both the Heisman Trophy and the national championship that season, ultimately putting himself in position to be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2011 NFL draft.
As sweet as those cleats are, don't count on him wearing them during the game. He has been known to change cleats between warmups and kickoff.
