Panthers Vs. Steelers: Botched Hand-off Gives Panthers Great Field Position

Ben Roethlisberger couldn't get the ball securely into Issac Redman's hands and the Panthers recovered the loose ball. One area that Pittsburgh clearly needs to work on is protecting the football. The offense seems to finally be getting things together over the past two weeks. However, turnovers are the great equalizer.
The Steelers can go out and physically dominate the Cleveland Browns next week, but if they don't protect the football they could lose the game. It seems like the Steelers have at least one nagging problem every single week.
Last week against the Jets, their problem was special teams. Special teams are another great equalizer. The Steelers were statistically superior to the Jets on both offense and defense. But Pittsburgh allowed a kickoff return for a touchdown and the Jets were consistently pinning Pittsburgh deep in their own territory.
Pittsburgh certainly has some work to do in practice this week.
