Percy Harvin Reportedly Will Miss 3-4 Months After Hip Surgery

The Seattle Seahawks made one of the biggest moves of the offseason in acquiring Percy Harvin from the Minnesota Vikings, but it appears the versatile offensive weapon will be on the shelf for much of the 2013 slate.
As reported by Ian Rapoport of NFL.com, Harvin will require surgery for a hip injury he sustained last week and is expected to miss three to four months of action:
Should Harvin require the full four months in recovery, he’ll be scheduled back in time for the Seahawks’ final five games of the season (all taking place immediately following a Week 12 bye).
After seeking a second opinion on his torn labrum, Harvin himself tweeted the news and expressed some disappointment in the situation:
