Peyton Manning Video: Watch Indianapolis Star Scramble to Seal Win
With the Oakland Raiders' playoff hopes on the line, they needed to stop Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts on a 3rd-and-2 late in the game.
Instead, the Colts not only got the game-clinching first down, Manning ran 27 yards past the defense to further embarrass the Raiders.
A few thoughts: 1) Michael Vick he is not; 2) I want to see Manning and Patriots lineman Dan Connolly in a foot race.
Manning slid down inside the 5-yard line to milk the clock with the Colts up, 31-26, but it wouldn't be a stretch to say he simply fell.
He slammed the ball down on the ground in a move of either exultation or anger, knowing that he didn't reach the colored paint.
Jokes aside, Manning threw for 179 yards, three touchdowns, two interceptions.
He also ran for 25 yards on three rushes. Which means he ran for negative yards on his other two rushes. OK, i lied, I'm not done joking.
