Philadelphia Eagles: Kevin Kolb Will Need to Make Plays on the Run

Although everyone wants to see Kevin Kolb sit back in the pocket and pick defenses apart all day, his ability to make plays outside the pocket have been a pleasant surprise so far this preseason.
The Eagles offensive line is in a bit of disarray, and the player that feels the direct impact of that is Kevin Kolb. We all know he throws an accurate ball and can hit open receivers all day when given the time. However, what happens when he isn’t given the time? There has to be another plan.
With the line the way it is right now, I was hoping that Kolb wouldn’t get killed every time he dropped back to throw in the preseason. To my delight, Kolb has shown a keen sense for knowing when to escape the pocket, throwing on the run, and tucking the ball down to pick up yardage when necessary.
Todd Herremans is set to return to the starting lineup in Friday’s preseason game with the Chiefs. There is also a possibility of Jamaal Jackson being ready for opening day...
