Pittsburgh Steelers: Five Players Who Must Step Up in 2010

In his three seasons as head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Mike Tomlin has compiled an impressive 34-18 record, including 3-1 in the playoffs, headlined by a Super Bowl victory in 2008. Despite not having a losing the season, Tomlin’s Steelers are coming off a season in which they failed to make the playoffs. The team has made it clear this year that they are aiming for Super Bowl number seven. Pittsburgh signed or traded for Antwaan Randle El, Larry Foote, Byron Leftwich, Bryant McFadden, Arnaz Battle, and Will Allen, all of whom are experienced veterans who are expected to contribute this season. However, with key losses including Willie Parker and Santonio Holmes, as well as missing Ben Roethlisberger for the start of the season, the Steelers will need a number of players to step up their game if they are to achieve another championship season.
