The New Orleans Saints' already shaky secondary received another major blow on Sunday, when safety Rafael Bush suffered a torn pectoral in the team's game against the Arizona Cardinals, per Ian Rapoport of NFL.com.

Saints Sign Veteran Kenny Phillips in Wake of Bush's Injury Monday, Sept. 14 With Bush likely out indefinitely, the Saints acted quickly to replace him, reportedly signing veteran Kenny Phillips according to Mike Triplett of ESPN. 

Phillips spent training camp with the Saints and originally made the 53-man roster, though he was waived a day later, per Triplett. It's possible he could step in for Bush and start immediately.
Bush, 28, has been a steady if unspectacular presence for the Saints in his four years with the team. Last year, he notched 44 tackles and defended two passes for the team.
