Redskins Send Bills North Packing: ‘Skins Win 42-17 In Pre-Season Opener

The Redskins rocked the debut of the Shanahan regime with a franchise record for most points scored (42) in the preseason since 1988. They fell 3-0 early, but the rest was history!
Donovan McNabb played sparingly, except for the fist few drives in which he was 5-8 for 58 yards and one touchdown. His backup, Rex Grossman, led most of the charge and threw for 140 yards and two touchdowns. John Beck played poorly, throwing 2/7 for 27 yards.
The rushing game was decent. Undrafted free agent Keilend Williams was phenomenal with 51 yards rushing on 11 attempts with two touchdowns. Ryan Torain had 62 yards rushing on 17 attempts.
The receiving game was very nice!  McNabb, Grossman, and Beck had many options with 11 different people catching the ball. Devin Thomas closed doubters' mouths with three receptions for 63 yards, including a 44-yard touchdown reception from Grossman.
