Reggie Bush: How Will Possible Return of Heisman Trophy Affect Him?

The Heisman Trust is still deciding whether or not to take Reggie Bush’s Heisman title away for his alleged acceptance of illegal benefits while playing college football. Even though this happened in his past, how will it affect him now?
As it has been with other professional athletes, bringing to light negative aspects of their past or present can hurt their performance. Many athletes, like Tiger Woods, have had trouble getting back into the swing of things after they have been punished for something they did wrong outside of their sport.
If Bush follows this trend, he may not have as successful of a season with the Saints this season as he did last season. If he does follow this trend and has a bad season next season, this will hurt not only him, but his team as well. If Bush doesn’t play at the same level as he has in the past, it could cost his team wins during the season, and hurt their chances of going to the Super Bowl again at the end of the season.
